Tydzień Uśmiechu is usually organized around Christmas. It is one o the biggest students’ charity events in Warsaw School of Economics. Our main goal is to help and support financially kids from orphanage.
Every year we make an auction and a fair, where we sell gifts from our partner companies. Students can buy tickets to cinemas and theatres, admission cards for paintball or bowling, dance schools or driving lessons, books, CDs, language courses, at the same time making a surprise Christmas presents for friends or family.
During the auction you can bid gifts from politicians, sportsmen, artists. The whole revenue is given to previously chosem orphanage. Despite of financial help, the kids are invited to Warsaw, where they spend weekend full of fun and attractions. They have the opportunity to sightsee the capital of Poland, which they usually see only in the tv screen and forget about all the sadness.
Our motto are equal chances and supporting education of kids from orphanages. Besides causing smiles on kids’ faces, the project allows them better start in the future through educational aids, language and matura courses.
