For 15 years Independent Students’ Association cooperates with Regionalne Centrum Krwiodawstwa i Krwiolecznictwa, promoting unremunerated blood donations amond students. In Poland blood is needed every 15 seconds, and one-time blood donation may save the lives of even three people!
Our main goal is a long-term change in students’ awareness and collecting the biggest amount of blood during the event. We do our best to disenchant the subject of blood donations for the whole society and fight with myths about blood donation – we think it shouldn’t rise fears, but be something natural and common.
Moreover within the confines of Wampiriada we encourage others to other forms of charity, for example volunteering and registration to the bone morrow doners base.
Despite huge satisfaction unremunerated Blood Doners have many privileges: priority over others when they find themselves in the hospital, and there is small amount of blood, reductions or free rides on the city communication, reducing the tax basis by 130 zł for every donated liter of blood or plasma.
Next edition is planned on winter of 2016.
