Independent Students’ Association (NZS SGH) is an organization that plays an important part in the traditions and activities at Warsaw School of Economics/of SGH. The organization is comprised of people that are full of energy, enthusiasm and unconventional ideas. We work on a wide range of projects that remain a part of our lives even after classes have ended! These are just a few examples of how our organization is so unique.
According to our motto – “professional leeway” – the members of the association try to make necessity a virtue. We change brainstorming into a fully prepared project, while gaining valuable job experience and spending quality time together. Thanks to a variety of projects, everyone can find something for themselves.
Film Society „Overground” belongs to the initiatives with the longest tradition in the organization. This project consists of screening films that are usually not shown in mainstream cinemas. Wampiriada is our oldest and most famous charity project, which gives students the opportunity to donate blood to Polish hospitals. We are also proud of our national projects – National Students’ Photography Contest and “Drogowskazy Kariery” – an educational initiative with the objective of facilitating labour market entry for youth and diminishing the gap between students and businesses. An unquestionable asset is our will to help through projects like “Week of Smile” or “Animal Day”. Last but not least, we want to encourage students and provide alternative forms of entertainment through Warsaw Academic Carting League and Warsaw Academic Paintball League. The choice is not simple, but you can try your hand in just one or even in all the projects!
In addition, the members of NZS SGH sail, sing, do winter sports and hike in the mountains. We are known for our awaydays “Borsuki”, unforgettable cruises, canoeing, and integration camp “Kacwin”!
If you’re full of ideas and you want to gain knowledge and experience while having fun – NZS is the right place for you!
